98 degrees guys! Not the boy band…that’s how hot it was when we started Holly & Steven’s engagement session last week in Columbia, SC! To say these two are troopers is such a total understatement. They had the best attitudes about having a summer engagement session and in return I loved spending time getting to know them as a couple and meeting their sweet pups Heidi and Maddi. Thanks for galavanting all over boiling hot Columbia with me guys, I can’t wait for your wedding next February!
What’s not to love about Katie & Phillip’s engagement session? Two beautiful people, impeccable taste, and the prettiest parts of Charleston? You can’t go wrong. I loved my time hanging out with them and can’t wait to share a few of my favorite images from their downtown Charleston engagement session!
When it comes to planning an engagement session that encompasses how they like to spend their time and with whom, Marina and Kyle nailed it. Even though it was unusually cold for a May morning in Maryland, we met bright and early at one of the parks on the Patuxent River where they put their boat in to fish and spend time on the water.
First they had their two labs, Waylon and Winnie, join them, and I can 100% identify with the love they have for those pups. They were so much fun and I know they, along with their third dog Leia, are such a big part of how Marina and Kyle spend their time together. Then they launched their boat and we got out on the river for a bit. Of course including the dogs is hard to beat but seeing them, especially Kyle, so in his element and to see them enjoying their time together was the best. I’m so excited about these images and cannot wait until their wedding day this coming October!
Elizabeth and David, two of the calmest, most down-to-earth souls I’ve worked with this year. We had such a good time exploring a few of their (and mine too!) favorite parts of their native Savannah and we were also so fortunate to dodge the yucky weather that rolled in and soaked the region the next few days. Instead we were blessed with the most overcast, ideal day, a slight breeze, and comfortable temperatures. I am so looking forward to seeing these two become husband and wife next year. If their style, quiet nature, sweet personalities, and obvious admiration of one another are any indication of the type of wedding they’ll have I know it’ll be a good one 🙂 Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their Savannah engagement session!

Let me tell you. I’ve hit the 2017 couple jackpot. Add Kiernan and Shaun’s engagement session to my ever-growing list of favorites because these two are so fun, so laid back, and such a good time. We met early one morning to explore Daniel Island, and I was sold as soon as Kiernan asked if we could start at a local coffee shop. Yes and yes! We had a great time seeing some new parts of Daniel Island, enjoying the gorgeous morning light, and then their pup Porter got to join in on the fun as well!
Seriously this whole engagement session was a home run from start to finish and it made me ready to start the countdown to next September, especially since Kiernan and Shaun are getting married at the stunning Governor Thomas Bennett house and working with one of my favorite people ever, Megan of Mingle. I’m so excited to share a few of my favorite images, Happy Monday!

To say I’m excited for Cate and Nick’s wedding next year is the biggest understatement ever. I felt like we were old friends in the first 30 seconds of meeting them and their entire session was so easy and fun. We started at Cate’s grandparents farm outside of Columbia and it was everything my rural, outdoors loving heart could want for an engagement session location. Then we headed downtown to the USC Horseshoe, since Cate and Nick met at USC and Nick also proposed on the Horseshoe. We had such a good time and honestly I was so sad when we were done…we could have hung out for another hour or more and that’d have been just fine by me! Fortunately I get to see Cate again before too long for her bridal session, and then it’ll be time to see all the hard work Cate and some of faaaaaavorite vendors ever craft up for them! I cannot wait for their wedding next June with Meagan Warren and Cote Designs. Enjoy just a few of my favorite images from their Columbia, SC engagement session!
