This was without a doubt the best way to end my fall season. I travelled to Griffin, Georgia for Paige and Harrison’s wedding at her parents estate and could not have been more honored to be the one documenting what I knew they had put so much heart and time into meticulously planning. Anyone who knows weddings knows executing an at-home wedding is no easy feat. There’s so many extra accommodations you must make, but Paige’s family home could not have been more perfect for this celebration.
She and Harrison had their first look in the front yard (just love how sweet their expressions were when they finally saw one another! And those first look bear hugs!), we photographed all of their beautiful wedding party photos in front of the home, they exchanged vows at their church literally right next door, and then the celebration continued under the largest tent I’ve ever seen in 8 years of photographing weddings. The tent stretched from one end of the backyard to the other, and they even got to dance the night away on a clear dancefloor built over top of the pool. It was an incredible day full of nothing but the best things: joy, happy tears, laughter, good food, great music, and all of the loved ones Paige and Harrison could have hoped to spend time with! Enjoy just a few of my favorite images!
From our first few emails, Erin and her mom were super clear that this wedding at Sea Pines would be such a special one for their family. Having vacationed there for nearly 40 years, Sea Pines holds a very special place in their family. Dave even made sure to lock in an October 2017 date before he even proposed. Seriously amazing.
Another thing Erin was really passionate about was not spending the day fussing over photos. She and Dave wanted lots of candid moments, minimal formal wedding party & family photos, and they wanted to enjoy as much time as possible with the friends and family who came from all over (even across the pond!) to celebrate their marriage. I loved that and for that reason, please forgive all of the beautiful black and white images. To me, there’s something about candid = black and white. They enjoyed their entire cocktail hour with their guests, partied an incredible band, and were sent away for the evening through a tunnel of paper petals. It was such a fun day and as usual, I have a zillion favorites! Enjoy!
Marina’s family hosted she and Kyle’s wedding at her family farm. This is the land where many of Marina’s family live, where she’s grown up, spent her entire life thus far with her horses, and where she and Kyle have spent a lot of time throughout their relationship. They were even engaged in her front yard with their dogs right there : ) This is a special place so it could not have been more fitting for the celebration of their marriage. I love that Marina made sure she honored Kyle and his interests too, including fishing lures in the boutonnieres, a nod to Kyle’s passion for bass fishing (check out their fishing engagement session here!). Their dogs were included in several parts of the wedding day, they were able to get one of my ALL TIME favorite photos ever with Marina’s horse Belle, and ultimately it was the perfect day…with the prettiest ceremony spot and the party happening under a clear top tent in her parents backyard.
To be a part of this day was a little extra special since I grew up riding horses with Marina since I was practically a kid. It’s so amazing to see that she and Kyle fit so perfectly together and I think their wedding day really shows that. Enjoy a few of my favorite images!
The truth is I could have photographed Rachel and Ray all day long. They are just one of those couples who has no inhibitions about showing how much they adore each other in front of others and that is so fun to be around. Individually they are both smart, outgoing, kind people but then you put them together and it’s like they just amplify all of each other’s good qualities. From their excitement getting to see each other for their first look, to their emotional and candid ceremony where they wrote their own vows, to the entire time throughout the reception…they just let their guards down and enjoyed every second and it made for a really beautiful day to photograph! Enjoy just a few of my favorites from their Charleston wedding!
Oh my goodness I’m so excited to finally be sharing Megan and Zach’s wedding day images! If you saw Megan’s bridal portraits earlier this week then you already know this girl has beautifully classic southern taste so I knew once she threw her dapper groom into the mix and some beautiful and historic Augusta venues, it would be an incredible day. Despite Zach originally being from Iowa, Megan and Zach actually met here in Augusta while he was on rotations at the hospital Megan is a nurse at. They didn’t connect right away but clearly they never stopped wondering about each other and I’m glad that they reconnected later because I think they scream “made for one another” in all the best ways. I’m thankful I was chosen to photograph every special detail, because heirloom quality photography and story-telling was such a huge priority for these two. From the sweet gifts to their loved ones to the way they look at each other, I’m thrilled to share many of my favorite moments below.
Megan and Zach are married and that means something exciting! Not only do they have so many gorgeous wedding images coming soon, but now I can finally share Megan’s stunning Augusta bridal portraits we shot earlier this summer. It was HOT on the morning of her bridal session – seriously, when wasn’t it hot this summer? But Megan absolutely wowed me in her stunning lace gown and her mom’s heirloom veil. We had such a good time exploring Redcliffe Plantation and in turn created some of the most joyful and my most favorite bridal portraits ever. I always love this time with my brides and I think it was great for Megan to get a test run in her dress and spend some special time with her mom, aunt, and cousin. Enjoy just a few of my favorite images while we await she and Zach’s gorgeous Old Medical College wedding!
