I’m so excited to finally share Cate and Nick’s Millstone at Adams Pond wedding day images on the blog. It’s no secret that their engagement session and Cate’s Lace House wedding were so much fun and produced some of my favorite images ever. These two are just as fun-loving and laid-back as they look. They are literally those two phrases to a tee. That just made them the perfect couple for me, and not to mention they had such a gorgeous vision for their wedding that was brought to life by two of my favorites; Meagan Warren and Cote Designs. Such a dream team wedding and I loved every single second of photographing this magical day last June!
Goodness this post. It was a true labor of love collecting all of my favorite photos from 2017 but man is it good for the soul! This post was a favorite of mine to make last year so I knew I needed to create another collection of my favorite wedding images from 2017 as well. These images are so very special to me. Each wedding I photograph is special, but on every wedding day there are specific moments that always stay with me a little more than others. Whether it was something super candid and real between people, a technical challenge I overcame, something that just stopped me in my tracks because it was purely beautiful, or just a moment that was extra raw, and real…these are the images from 2017 that make my heart do backflips. This is my FAVORITE post ever to create.
Thank you to all of my 2017 couples and their families for having me to document such special days in your lives.
What a way to end the year! I’m just going to keep it short and sweet, because the photos say it all. Kayla and Cameron were a blast. They had such beautiful weather for their Augusta winter wedding and Kayla’s stunning lace wedding gown and baby’s breath crown definitely stole the show. Add one dapper groom, a stunning wedding party, gorgeous family and friends…done. Just so much pretty and so many sweet moments. Enjoy just a few of my favorites from Kayla and Cameron’s big day!
I’ve been waiting for Kiernan and Shaun’s wedding for what feels like forever. We first met last November for their engagement session around Daniel Island and I left just so grateful to be working with them. We had the BEST time…they are fun, easy, kind people and they LOVE their pup Porter! So naturally knowing they had great personalities, style, and were so easy to be around I couldn’t wait for their wedding at the Governor Thomas Bennett House. But then Hurricane Irma happened and Kiernan and Shaun decided to postpone their September 9th wedding to December. It was up in the air if I would be able to photograph it since our first baby was due just a month before their new wedding date, but since he came two weeks early, the stars aligned and I could not have been more happy to be the one there documenting the final chapter of their engagement for them.
Megan with Mingle and Ann at The Purple Magnolia made all of Kiernan’s beautiful winter wedding dreams come true while also still keeping a lot of their original plans from September. It was an amazing day…great people, pretty weather, a gorgeous setting, good music, and great food & drink! I know Kiernan and Shaun were so happy the way everything worked out and I am so glad they got the dream wedding they had spent all that time planning. Enjoy a few of my favorite images!
This was without a doubt the best way to end my fall season. I travelled to Griffin, Georgia for Paige and Harrison’s wedding at her parents estate and could not have been more honored to be the one documenting what I knew they had put so much heart and time into meticulously planning. Anyone who knows weddings knows executing an at-home wedding is no easy feat. There’s so many extra accommodations you must make, but Paige’s family home could not have been more perfect for this celebration.
She and Harrison had their first look in the front yard (just love how sweet their expressions were when they finally saw one another! And those first look bear hugs!), we photographed all of their beautiful wedding party photos in front of the home, they exchanged vows at their church literally right next door, and then the celebration continued under the largest tent I’ve ever seen in 8 years of photographing weddings. The tent stretched from one end of the backyard to the other, and they even got to dance the night away on a clear dancefloor built over top of the pool. It was an incredible day full of nothing but the best things: joy, happy tears, laughter, good food, great music, and all of the loved ones Paige and Harrison could have hoped to spend time with! Enjoy just a few of my favorite images!
From our first few emails, Erin and her mom were super clear that this wedding at Sea Pines would be such a special one for their family. Having vacationed there for nearly 40 years, Sea Pines holds a very special place in their family. Dave even made sure to lock in an October 2017 date before he even proposed. Seriously amazing.
Another thing Erin was really passionate about was not spending the day fussing over photos. She and Dave wanted lots of candid moments, minimal formal wedding party & family photos, and they wanted to enjoy as much time as possible with the friends and family who came from all over (even across the pond!) to celebrate their marriage. I loved that and for that reason, please forgive all of the beautiful black and white images. To me, there’s something about candid = black and white. They enjoyed their entire cocktail hour with their guests, partied an incredible band, and were sent away for the evening through a tunnel of paper petals. It was such a fun day and as usual, I have a zillion favorites! Enjoy!
