Ashley and Mike’s wedding last weekend was one for the books. Since I was traveling from South Carolina just a few days ahead of Hurricane Matthew as it was making its way up the coast, I thought Maryland would be spared and Ashley and Mike would have the sunny farm wedding overlooking the Breton Bay they had hoped for. But I was so wrong, and it rained literally every single second of their entire wedding day. Hard rain. Soft rain. Warm rain. Cold rain. Sideways rain. Heavy straight rain. There was no escaping it, but Ashley had said from the very beginning “let’s just go with it!” in the happy, cheery, always fun way that Ashley does, and everybody went with it.
When their tent flooded, everyone slopped around and danced straight through the mud all night long. Nobody cared, everyone had the best time ever, and Ashley and Mike were so happy to be married and celebrating with their friends and family. Being a part of their wedding day was so much fun…I can’t imagine a better couple more game for such a crazy set of circumstances and I’m so glad I got to be the one there to document it all. Enjoy just a few of my favorite images!
