Recently, I had the privilege of documenting the most momentous milestone for my lovely past bride and groom: they welcomed their first son! We photographed their in-home newborn session at their home in North Augusta, SC, specifically in Baby C’s enchanting adventure-themed nursery.
Having photographed Chelsea & Chad many times over the years (from their engagement session, then Chelsea’s bridals, to their unforgettable, historically rainy wedding day on the banks of the Savannah River – seriously, check it out here!), what made this newborn session even more memorable was the inclusion of their two beloved dogs, who are not just pets but cherished members of the family. Lyla and Wrigley have been a photo priority since day one of our time working together!
Chelsea and Chad opted to turn their favorite images into stunning wall art for their home. Two framed pieces now adorn the walls in their home, serving as daily reminders of this sweet season. With their newborn session just before the holidays, they were also able to gift their family and friends stunning heirloom quality matted prints at Christmas time.
Each opportunity to document the early days of this blurry, fleeting newborn season is such a gift and I know myself how much these photos become a beloved treasure as our children quickly grow.
