Oh this Savannah anniversary session in the rain is just everything! You might remember Anna and Kyle…they’ve been on my blog several times now and I always, always leave my time with them so creatively filled up and so thrilled with the photos we captured. You can see their engagement session from 2015 here (then a few bonus film images here), their 2016 Charleston wedding here, and now these beautiful anniversary portraits to capture them during their first anniversary trip! These two love the south and I just love when they include me on their trips here and allow me to document each special season in their lives.
Since they were coming through Savannah from Nashville on their way to Florida and they had only around 12 hours in town, there was no dodging the stormy weather forecasted for Monday evening. I love that they were totally game to go with it and armed with umbrellas, we had the best time. Aside from the first five minutes of their session and maybe once or twice throughout that they tossed aside the umbrella for a quick second, it down poured nearly the entire time. Thunder and all! But we got to see and shoot in some beautiful parts of Savannah and the upside was that most of the squares and best oak tree areas were pretty empty because everyone was dodging the weather!
I love so many of these images…they are just such romantic, but still cheery and sweet photos and they make my little photographers heart so happy. And don’t they look incredible?! Even half drenched?! I love it! Enjoy just a few of my favorites, and happy first anniversary to Anna and Kyle tomorrow!
